Elephant yam is a highly nutrient vegetable, and it contains Protein, Fat Carbohydrate, Fiber, Calcium, Iron, Phosphorus, Vitamin A, etc. In Malayalam, We say it chena kizhangu.

Fried Elephant yam | 1 Cup |
Garlic | 15g |
Chilly Powder | 4 Table Spoon |
Fenugreek roasted powder | 1/2 Teaspoon |
Asafoetida roasted Powder | 1/2 Teaspoon |
Cooking oil | 100ml |
Salt | For taste |
- Boil the oil in Pan
- Add sliced garlic in it heat in gentle fire cook partially.
- Add chilly powder and stir.
- When it smells to good add elephant yam and stir well.
- If you want to reduce the thickness add some boiled water or for sour taste add vinegar instead
- sow Fenugreek,Asafoetida roasted Powder and add sufficient salt
I recommend avoid the usage vinegar, as it is not good for health.
